Rococo is replacement of Rocky Bush cork flooring that was Forna’s leading seller. This is a very active floor with tremendous amounts of movement. Rather than taking on the look of a wood floor, Rococo leans a little more towards the famous brown Italian marbles. The black tiger-striping of Rococo adds flair without adding depth of color.
Rococo cork flooring starts out life as a medium depth, amber colored floor.

With a history of over a century as floor, cork hasn’t let time stop its movement. Not even close. As technology and innovation pushes forward, cork too has undergone changes in manufacturing that has brought it into the 21st century as an exemplary flooring material. A finished cork floor can mimic the look of textured hardwood, polished marble or even the rough cut of stone and ceramic. Nowadays cork is able to meet a variety of décor and tastes while bringing you all its rather mind-blowing benefits.
Our new Rococo is the replacement flooring for Forna’s leading seller, Rocky Bush cork flooring pattern. This is a very active floor with tremendous amounts of movement. Rather than taking on the look of a wood floor, Rococo leans a little more towards the famous brown Italian marbles. The black tiger-striping of Rococo adds flair to the pattern without adding depth of too many colors. Rococo cork flooring starts out life as a medium depth, amber colored floor. Whether you want a subtle look to finish your décor or a sharp splash to heighten cool tones, Rococo’s striking pattern endeavors to please. The ripple pattern or ambers and browns create an ever-flowing depth, like hills and valleys or cuts and divots – highly textured is an apt description.
As a floating cork floor, Rococo comes in a square-edged design that installs seamlessly, so the floor will appear as one large finished unit. Using the Uniclic flooring system, a patented tongue and grove application, Rococo cork board planks will connect easily. No need for glue, while minimal floor preparation is required. No separate underlayment is required either, since our planks have an integrated low-density sound absorbing cork underlayment. With our floating cork floors you can lay one over an old floor without too much trouble! This flooring is available as 36 (35.43) x 12 (11.08) x 1/2inch planks.
A total of 12mm (1/2inch) thick, the wear and back layers are each made of 1/8 inches of 100% cork, (1/8 or 3mm top layer + 1/8 or 3mm integrated underlay = ¼ inch or 6mm) sandwiched over a 6mm E1 Class High Density Fiberboard center. At 12mm, this makes Forna floating cork floors one of the thickest cork floors on the market. This also makes it one of the best sound and thermal insulators as it can mute sound by up to 22 decibels. Rococo is versatile enough to go in kitchens and basement, but not bathrooms. Packaged at 6 planks per carton, each box can cover 17.44 square feet.
Everyone loves the beauty and durability of hardwood floors, but sustainability has become a major concern. A solution to this comes in the form of cork flooring. The cork oak is, after all, a species of hardwood. Harvested from the cork oak tree that is grown in lands bordering the Mediterranean Sea, including Portugal and Spain, the cork we use is derived from only the bark of the tree. So, it may be classified as a hardwood, cork products carry some very distinctive differences from its other hardwood cousins that makes it shine on a whole other level.
Cork floors bring sustainability and functionality to any space. Add our Rococo to your home today and give a little back to the earth.
