Porto Mist Cork Flooring

A Swiss-made 11mm floating plank that stays warm in winter, quiets your footsteps by 18 dB, and carries a commercial class 33 rating for the busiest rooms in the house.

Porto Mist is built the way premium cork floors should be: a full 3mm layer of natural cork on top, a 6.8mm E1-grade moisture resistant HDF core in the middle, and a 1.2mm agglomerated cork backing underneath. At 11mm (7/16 inch) overall, each 913mm x 305mm (35-15/16 x 12 inch) plank has real substance underfoot, with a square edge and no bevel for a clean, continuous surface across the room.

Cork's closed cellular structure is filled with air-like gas, which is what gives this floor its character. It holds a comfortable temperature all year, so walking barefoot in winter does not mean cold feet, and it stays permanently elastic, absorbing impact instead of transmitting it through the house. Active households with kids, pets, or open-plan living notice the difference immediately.

The surface is sealed with a HotCoating wear layer and a highly resistant Natural Shield water base polyurethane finish, tested to AC5 abrasion resistance. That is why Porto Mist is rated for domestic class 23 and heavy commercial class 33 use: it keeps its looks for years with very little care, in living rooms and storefronts alike.

Installation is a weekend job, not a contract job. The Uniclic click lock profile floats over your subfloor with no glue and no nails, and the plank is approved for above grade, on grade, and below grade rooms, so basements are on the table too.
