Overview
3mm Cork Underlayment – 220 kg/m³ Density – 150 sq. ft. Coverage
Our 3mm cork underlayment is the lightest option in the collection, yet it delivers outstanding performance in comfort, insulation, and sound control. Designed for installation beneath laminate, cork, bamboo, hardwood, or engineered wood flooring, this slim layer helps preserve warmth and adds a subtle cushion underfoot.
Each sheet measures 24” x 36” (2 ft x 3 ft) and comes pre-cut for easy handling. Packaged 25 sheets per carton, a single box covers 150 sq. ft. Made entirely from natural agglomerated cork and bonded with water-based adhesives, this product is free from formaldehyde and toxins, recyclable, and environmentally responsible.
Why Choose 3mm Cork Underlayment?
-
Acoustic Comfort – Cork’s honeycomb-like structure (around 40 million cells per cubic centimeter) naturally dampens sound, offering superior noise control compared to standard foam underlays.
-
Thermal Efficiency – Acts as a barrier against heat transfer, helping rooms retain warmth in cooler months and maintain comfort year-round.
-
Moisture Protection – Naturally infused with suberin, cork resists mold, mildew, and bacteria growth, making it a healthier choice for homes and commercial spaces.
-
Added Comfort – The elastic quality of cork provides a gentle cushioning effect that eases stress on feet and joints.
-
Sustainable Material – Harvested from the bark of cork oak trees without harming them, cork is a renewable resource with each tree yielding for up to two centuries.
