FORNA REALSTONE – LIMITED WARRANTY
1. Warranty Statement
This limited warranty applies to Forna Realstone flooring installed in residential or commercial interiors. The warranty covers the product against defects in structure, bonding, and factory-applied surface coating when installed and maintained according to official instructions.
This warranty is offered in addition to all legal rights and applies only to first-quality Forna Realstone flooring.
2. Warranty Duration
Coverage begins on the date of purchase:

10-Year Limited Warranty – Residential (Class 23)

5-Year Limited Warranty – Commercial (Class 31)
Depreciation (“New for Old”)
If a claim is approved, replacement value is reduced as follows:

Residential: 10% per year

Commercial: 20% per year
3. What Is Covered
This warranty covers:

Structural defects
-
Bonding or layer-separation defects
-
Surface coating defects not caused by wear, misuse, or improper maintenance
4. What Is Not Covered
Installation & Handling Issues
-
Improper or non-compliant installation
-
Failure to inspect planks before installation
-
Installation on unsuitable subfloors or moisture conditions
-
Issues related to improper radiant-heat installation
Appearance Variations
-
Colour variation between planks
-
Pattern or texture differences
-
Differences from samples due to natural variation
-
Normal fading or changes from light exposure
Wear & Surface Issues
-
Normal wear of the natural oil or protective coating
-
Scratches, dents, chips, gouges, abrasion
-
Gloss changes or dulling
-
Damage from heavy loads or impact
Environmental & Moisture Damage
-
Humidity-related expansion or gapping
-
Water, spills, moisture or flooding
-
Chemical exposure or improper cleaning products
Maintenance Issues
-
Damage caused by improper cleaning
-
Failure to maintain or renew the protective surface when needed
Other Exclusions
-
Labour for removal or reinstallation
-
Transportation, delivery, or disposal costs
-
Consequential, incidental, or secondary damages
5. Warranty Conditions
To maintain coverage:
-
Flooring must be installed according to Forna installation instructions.
-
All planks must be examined in daylight before installation.
-
Care and cleaning must follow Forna guidelines.
-
Radiant-heat requirements must be followed if applicable.
Installed flooring is considered accepted.
6. How to File a Warranty Claim
All warranty claims must be submitted in writing and include:

The original purchase invoice (required as proof of warranty)

Photos and detailed description of the issue

Samples or documentation if requested
If the original invoice is not provided, the claim is excluded.
Review Process
A response will be issued within four weeks of receiving the written claim.
Flooring may be inspected in person, and additional documentation or samples may be required.
Requested documentation must be provided within two weeks or the claim becomes void.
7. Warranty Remedy
If a claim is approved, the remedy will be one of the following, at Forna’s discretion:

Repair of the affected planks, or
-
Replacement of affected planks with new material from the same or equivalent product line
Replacement material is provided at no charge for pickup at the original point of purchase.
Limitations
The warranty does not cover:

Labour costs
-
Delivery, freight, or disposal
-
Any associated or indirect costs
Providing replacement material does not reset or extend the original warranty period.
Claim Expiration
All warranty claims expire six months after the written complaint is received, but no earlier than the end of the warranty period.
