Forna Natural Composite Hot Coating Warranty Terms
Warranty Overview FORNA offers this warranty beyond statutory rights to assure structural integrity, including adhesive and surface finishing under conventional residential and commercial usage. This warranty does not cover damage due to improper use, excessive wear, impact damages like indentations, or aesthetic issues such as discoloration and separation of joints. Variations in color and texture among planks are natural characteristics and are not considered defects. Furthermore, damage from improper care, chemical interactions, or moisture is excluded. This warranty is valid only for first-choice products employed indoors under normal conditions, subject to FORNA’s standard sales and business conditions.
Duration of Warranty The Forna Natural Composite Hot Coating is protected by a 15-year warranty in residential settings (class 23) and a 5-year warranty in commercial environments (class 33), commencing from the purchase date. Depreciation for cost calculation under the “New for Old” policy is 8% annually for residential and 20% annually for commercial uses throughout the warranty term.
Warranty Stipulations The flooring must be installed following FORNA’s guidelines and is only suitable for approved applications, including specified underfloor heating conditions. Prior to installation, all flooring must be examined in daylight for any defects. Maintenance should adhere to the care instructions provided, and routine wear of the surface coat, which requires periodic professional restoration, is not covered. Damages from incorrect installation, maintenance, or surface layer renewal are also not covered.
Claim Submission Process Claims should be formally submitted to FORNA with the original sales invoice, which serves as the warranty document. Absence of this invoice explicitly excludes warranty coverage. FORNA commits to assessing claims within four weeks of receipt; a non-response within this period results in claim rejection. FORNA or its designated agents may inspect the installation site and perform assessments as deemed necessary. Claimants are required to furnish all documents and samples requested within two weeks of notification, or risk claim denial.
Extent of Warranty If a claim is acknowledged, FORNA reserves the right to either repair the defective planks or replace them with similar products from the current lineup, subject to availability. Replacements are collectible at no cost from the point of purchase, exclusive of costs for dismantling, installation, or any indirect damages. The validation of a claim does not prolong the original warranty period. All warranty claims are subject to a six-month limitation from the date FORNA receives the written complaint, not to exceed the warranty’s expiration.
