Salami Cork Glue-Down Flooring
Natural Portuguese cork glue-down tile, 8mm (5/16 in) thick.
Salami earned its name honestly. The pattern mixes fine cork granules with larger flecks, the way a cross-section of cured salami mixes lean and marbling, and that visual has made it one of the most popular cork looks in every format it comes in. This tile takes that pattern and gives it real depth: 8mm of solid cork from top to bottom, with no fibreboard core and no vinyl layer.
This 8mm glue-down cork tile provides cushioning and thermal insulation. Compare the tile’s construction, finish and installation requirements.
Because it glues down as a 610mm x 305mm (24 in x 12 in) tile, the floor sits tight to the subfloor with a square-edge, no-bevel fit. It is rated Commercial class 32 and Domestic class 23, so it is at home anywhere from a busy family kitchen to a light commercial space, and it can go on floors, walls, or even ceilings.
Why this floor
- Solid natural cork through the full 8mm (5/16 in) thickness: cork top layer, cork core, cork backing, made in Portugal.
- 24 dB impact sound reduction (tested on the 6mm version of this tile), keeping noise from travelling down through the floor or up through the ceiling.
- Rated Commercial class 32 and Domestic class 23: light commercial durability, not just residential.
- Compatible with hydronic and underfloor radiant heating, and cork's insulating cells help keep heat in the room in winter and out in summer, trimming heating and cooling bills.
- Water-resistant, stain-resistant, and impact-resistant, with a high-resistance super-matte wax finish that shrugs off scuffs.
- Review the selected product’s emissions documentation and cleaning requirements.
- Made with formaldehyde-free adhesives and no VOC emissions, backed by a 10-year residential wear warranty, joint integrity warranty, and lifetime structural warranty.

Important product note
The Salami pattern is so popular that it is produced in every available format: a 12mm floating floor, a 6mm glue-down tile, and this 8mm glue-down tile. If you prefer a click-together install or a lower price point, the other formats deliver the same signature look. Also note the 24 dB impact sound reduction figure was tested on the 6mm version, and that two coats of polyurethane are required after any glue-down installation is complete.
