Chestnut Leather Flooring

Real recycled leather underfoot: rich chestnut warmth, Swiss engineering, and a click-together floating plank rated for commercial traffic.

Chestnut is a genuine bonded leather floor in a deep, warm brown. Because the surface is authentic leather, every plank carries its own gentle creases and organic grain, so no two pieces read exactly alike. The high resistance matte finish keeps the look natural rather than glossy.

The leather itself is chrome free and responsibly recovered from European tannery off-cuts, then pressed into planks in Switzerland. Each 915 mm x 305 mm (36 in x 12 in) plank layers that leather surface over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing, sealed under a HotCoating wear layer that resists scratches and chemicals.

Underfoot, the combination feels different from wood or laminate: the leather surface is soft and easy on joints, while the cork backing quiets footfall with a 17 dB impact sound improvement. Uniclic click-lock edges let the planks float over the subfloor, above grade, on grade, or below grade, and the floor is compatible with electric and hydronic underfloor heating.

With a Commercial class 32 rating it is at home well beyond living rooms: think boutiques, offices, hotel spaces, and busy kitchens, anywhere you want the character of leather with everyday durability.

Why this floor

• Rated Commercial class 32 and Domestic class 23 (EN 16511) with AC4 abrasion behaviour, so it handles high traffic spaces, not just quiet bedrooms.
• 17 dB impact sound improvement (EN ISO 717-2) from the 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing.
• HotCoating wear layer with a high resistance matte finish: scratch resistant, chemically durable (EN 423 "very good"), and stain tested to EN 438-2:2016 with no surface damage.
• 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core with thickness swelling under 8% in a 24 hour test (EN 317).
• Uniclic click-lock floating installation with a joint pull strength above 500 kg per linear metre (ISO 24334), approved for above, on, and below grade.
• Low emission product evaluated according to AgBB, and warm underfoot: 0.088 m² K/W thermal resistance with underfloor heating compatibility.

Chestnut is made from natural leather, so colour variation is expected and part of its unique look. Gentle creases and organic grain differ from plank to plank; this individuality is a feature of genuine leather, not a defect.
