Hamilton Cork Flooring
A Swiss-made grey wood look with commercial class 33 toughness and the warm, quiet feel only cork delivers.
Hamilton captures the look of gently aged hardwood boards in a soothing palette of contrasting greys, light beige and softer creams. A slightly rough surface texture gives the pattern a simple but convincing 3D look and feel, so the planks read as real weathered wood underfoot, not a flat print.
Under that surface sits a serious hybrid construction: a 3 mm cork top layer fused to a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, finished with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing. The HotCoating wear surface and water based polyurethane finish are what push this floor to AC5 abrasion resistance and a class 33 commercial rating, while the cork layers keep it comfortable and quiet.
Cork's cell structure (roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimetre) insulates the floor year round, so barefoot walking stays comfortable even in winter. The material is permanently elastic: it flexes gently with every step and is easy on ankles and joints.
Rated for above grade, on grade and below grade installation, Hamilton is at home in entrances, hallways and kitchens, and it is a strong choice for basements, where it adds durability and helps hold warmth. Each 1235 mm x 200 mm (48 5/8 in x 7 7/8 in) plank clicks together with the patented Uniclic locking system for a fast floating installation.
Why this floor
- Class 33 commercial and class 23 domestic usage rating (EN 16511) with AC5 abrasion resistance: built for high-traffic spaces, not just quiet bedrooms.
- 18 dB impact sound reduction (EN ISO 717-2), thanks to cork's honeycomb cell structure and the 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing.
- Watertight joints: the patented Uniclic click system exceeds European standards for locking strength (HDF over 500 kg per linear metre, ISO 24334) with no open joints.
- Three-layer hybrid build: 3 mm cork top layer over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core with a 1.2 mm cork underlayment already attached.
- Warm underfoot in every season: about 40 million gas-filled cells per cm³ give cork high thermal insulation (thermal resistance 0.108 m² K/W), and the floor is compatible with hydronic and underfloor radiant heating.
- Low-emission and sustainable: emissions in conformity with AgBB, Greenguard Gold certified, and made from cork bark that is harvested without felling or damaging a single tree.
- 15 year residential and 5 year commercial warranty, made in Switzerland.

Important product note
Hamilton colour lot differences: Hamilton was originally a beautiful grey, but under many North American lighting conditions, which tend to be warmer, that grey could appear greenish. To keep the colour appealing in all lighting, the formula was adjusted, and the new batch now leans toward a warmer grey tone. There is a noticeable difference between the two batches: the old batch (limited in stock) retains the slightly greener grey, while the new batch is the warmer grey. Please consider your preference when purchasing, whether you prefer the original greenish hue or the updated warmer grey.
