Quadro Cork Flooring

A Swiss-made 11mm floating cork plank rated for heavy commercial traffic (Class 33), with 18 dB of impact sound reduction built into every board.

Quadro is built like a sandwich of purpose. A full 3mm layer of natural cork sits on top, a 6.8mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core gives the plank its rigidity and its Uniclic click lock, and a 1.2mm agglomerated cork backing quiets every footstep before it reaches the room below. The whole plank is sealed under a HotCoating wear layer with a high resistance Natural Shield water based polyurethane finish.

Cork's closed cell structure is filled with an air-like gas, which is what makes this floor behave so differently from hardwood or laminate. It insulates against heat loss (thermal resistance 0.108 m² K/W), stays comfortable in winter and cool in summer, and gives slightly underfoot while always springing back: residual indentation is capped at 0.15mm. Walking barefoot in January does not mean cold feet.

That combination of comfort and toughness is why Quadro carries both a domestic Class 23 and a commercial Class 33 rating with an AC5 abrasion result. It is at home in a busy family hallway, a basement rec room, or a light commercial space, and it can float over hydronic or underfloor radiant heating. Each 913mm x 305mm (35-15/16 in x 12 in) plank clicks together without glue, and a carton of 6 planks covers 1.67 m² (17.97 sq ft).

Why this floor

• Rated Commercial Class 33 and Domestic Class 23 (EN 16511) with AC5 abrasion resistance: heavy duty performance, backed by a 15 year residential and 5 year commercial warranty.
• 18 dB impact sound reduction (EN ISO 717-2) from the 3mm cork top layer plus the 1.2mm agglomerated cork backing: no separate underlay pad needed for quiet.
• 11mm three-layer construction: 3mm natural cork over a 6.8mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core with a 1.2mm cork underlayment, made in Switzerland.
• Uniclic click lock profile with a locking strength above 500 kg per linear metre: a fast, glue-free floating installation rated for above grade, on grade, and below grade.
• Naturally warm: thermal resistance of 0.108 m² K/W and cork's gas-filled cell structure keep the surface comfortable year round, and the floor is compatible with hydronic and underfloor radiant heat.
• Fire classified Cfl s1 (EN ISO 9239-1), R10 slip resistance, very good chemical resistance (EN 423), and suitable for type W castor chairs (EN 425).
• A renewable, natural surface: cork is peeled from the bark of cork oak trees that live up to 200 years and can be harvested about 20 times, with an antimicrobial layer that resists mould and mildew.
