Overview

Notice: We strongly recommend two layers of our Top Layer Polyurethane to protect the floor’s surface.

Venetian Cork Flooring

A warm mid-brown cork floor with comfort built in: 10 mm thick, quiet underfoot, and it clicks together without glue.

Venetian sits in that easy middle ground between soft golden undertones and richer chestnut hues. The surface is smooth and consistent, with delicate speckling that reads as one calm, uniform field rather than dramatic veining. Think sun-touched sand or riverbank soil: earthy, understated, and at home in both contemporary and classic rooms.

Under the colour is a proper floating-floor build. A 3 mm layer of genuine cork forms the wear surface, bonded over a 6 mm E1 class high-density fibreboard core, with a 1 mm cork underlay already attached underneath. The planks join with the Uniclic click-lock profile, so the floor assembles plank by plank with no adhesive and no cure time.

Cork provides cushioning and thermal insulation. Compare the acoustic test report for the complete floor assembly, and follow the product’s installation and care requirements.

Made in Portugal from renewable cork with formaldehyde-free adhesives. Greenguard Gold certified for low chemical emissions.

Why this floor

Impact sound reduction of 19 dB, so footsteps and dropped objects stay in the room instead of travelling through the structure.

Three working layers in one plank: 3 mm cork wear surface, 6 mm E1 class high-density fibreboard core, and a 1 mm cork underlay already attached, so no separate underlay purchase.
Uniclic click-lock joints for a glue-free floating installation on, above, or below grade, including basements.
Compatible with hydronic and underfloor radiant heating systems.
Finished with a high-resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane, a stain-resistant surface made with formaldehyde-free adhesives and certified Greenguard Gold.

Common questions

Can I install this floor over in-floor heating?

Yes. Venetian is compatible with both hydronic and underfloor radiant heating systems, and cork's natural insulation helps hold that warmth in the room rather than losing it downward.

Will it work in my basement?

Yes. This floating floor is approved for above grade, on grade, and below grade installation, so basements are fine. The 1 mm attached cork underlay is already part of the plank.

How does it hold up to kids, pets, and daily traffic?

Venetian is rated Domestic class 23 and Light Commercial class 49, and the surface is protected by a high-resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane wear layer. The cork itself is impact resistant, stain resistant, and low slip, and it repels dust and hair, which makes cleanup simple.

Do I need a professional installer?

Not necessarily. The Uniclic click-lock profile lets the planks float over the subfloor with no glue or nails, which makes this a very approachable project. Order about 10% extra to cover cuts and waste, and see the installation guide below for the full method.
