Serpent Luxe Leather Flooring

Real leather underfoot: an exotic snakeskin look in a Swiss-made click plank that is rated for commercial traffic.

Serpent Luxe brings the bold, exotic character of snakeskin to your floor in 100% natural, chrome-free leather. Leather has always signalled luxury; here it becomes a durable surface for boutique retail spaces, hotels and stylish homes, with a pattern that makes every installation stand out.

Each 915 mm x 305 mm (36 in x 12 in) plank layers genuine bonded leather over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF core, finished underneath with 1.2 mm of agglomerated cork. That cork backing is why the floor feels plush and quiet: it eases joint strain and cuts impact sound transmission by 17 dB.

The surface is sealed with a HotCoating wear layer in a high resistance matte finish, giving the leather scratch and chemical resistance strong enough for high-traffic areas such as hotel lobbies. Rated commercial class 32 and residential class 23 with AC4 abrasion behaviour, it is built to keep its looks under real use.

The leather itself is responsibly gathered from European tanneries' off-cuts, so no animal is harmed for the floor and material waste is reduced. Made in Switzerland, the planks assemble with a Uniclic click-lock system: a floating installation you can complete quickly, with no glue.

  • HotCoating matte wear layer: scratch resistant, stain resistant (EN 438-2:2016, no damage to the surface) and very good chemical durability (EN 423).
  • 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF core with Uniclic click-lock joints tested to over 500 kg/lfm transverse tensile strength (ISO 24334).
  • Approved for above grade, on grade and below grade, and compatible with electric, hydronic and underfloor heating systems.
  • Low-emission: tested according to AgBB emission criteria.

  1. Confirm that the subfloor is clean, dry, level and structurally sound; use a moisture barrier where the linked guide requires one.
  2. Acclimate and inspect the material, mix planks from multiple cartons, and preserve every required perimeter and transition gap.
  3. Sweep or vacuum grit and clean with a well-wrung damp cloth or mop—never leave standing water on the floor.

Can I install this over in-floor heating?
Yes. Serpent Luxe is compatible with electric, hydronic and underfloor heating systems, and its thermal resistance is a low 0.088 m² K/W (EN 12524), so heat passes through efficiently.
Is it suitable for a basement?
Yes. The floor is approved for above grade, on grade and below grade installation. The core is a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF, and 24 hour thickness swelling is under 8% (EN 317). As a floating floor it clicks together over the subfloor without glue or nails.
Will it stand up to pets and heavy foot traffic?
It is rated commercial class 32 with AC4 abrasion behaviour, and the HotCoating surface is scratch and chemical resistant: durable enough for high-traffic areas such as hotel lobbies. It is also suitable for Type W chair casters (EN 425), and furniture leg shift testing showed no visible damage (EN 424).
How does it install, and how much should I order?
Planks assemble with a Uniclic click-lock system as a floating floor: no adhesive needed. Each carton holds 6 planks covering 1.68 m² (18.08 sq ft). Order your measured area plus the recommended 10% overage for cuts.
