Snow Cap Cork Flooring

A genuine wood surface on a cork-cushioned Swiss plank, with click joints engineered to lock out water.

Snow Cap is a Swiss-made floating plank that puts 1mm of real wood underfoot, not a photograph of it. Each 1235mm x 200mm (48 5/8 in x 7 7/8 in) plank is built entirely from natural materials: the real wood surface is bonded to a moisture-inhibiting natural fibre board and finished with a real wood backing layer and a 1.2mm agglomerated cork underlay.

That cork layer does quiet work every day. It softens every step and cuts sound transmission by 15 dB, while the 6.8mm E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF core keeps the 9.7mm (0.38 in) plank stable. On top, HotCoating protection pushes durability to commercial class 33 (AC5), a level of wear resistance wooden floors have not reached before, backed by a high resistant Natural Shield water-based polyurethane finish.

Living with it is simple. There is no varnishing, oiling, or sanding to schedule, and the square-edged planks click together with the patented Uniclic system to form a watertight joint. Rated for above, on, and below grade, and compatible with hydronic and underfloor heating, Snow Cap moves comfortably from living rooms and basements to full commercial spaces.
