Snow Cap Cork Flooring
A genuine wood surface on a cork-cushioned Swiss plank, with click joints engineered to lock out water.
Snow Cap is a Swiss-made floating plank that puts 1mm of real wood underfoot, not a photograph of it. Each 1235mm x 200mm (48 5/8 in x 7 7/8 in) plank is built entirely from natural materials: the real wood surface is bonded to a moisture-inhibiting natural fibre board and finished with a real wood backing layer and a 1.2mm agglomerated cork underlay.
The 9.7 mm (0.38 in) plank has a 6.8 mm E1-grade moisture-resistant HDF core. The HotCoating wear layer and Natural Shield water-based polyurethane finish have an AC5 abrasion rating and class 33 commercial-use rating. Published impact-sound data lists 15 dB; review the tested assembly.
Living with it is simple. There is no varnishing, oiling, or sanding to schedule, and the square-edged planks click together with the patented Uniclic system to form a watertight joint. Rated for above, on, and below grade, and compatible with hydronic and underfloor heating, Snow Cap moves comfortably from living rooms and basements to full commercial spaces.
