Stratum Cork Flooring

Warm beige, real bark texture, Swiss made: an 11 mm floating cork plank rated for heavy commercial traffic.

Stratum shows cork as it actually grows: warm beige tones and a distinctive bark texture that make every plank one of a kind. The light natural colour brightens a room and sits comfortably in modern, Scandinavian, coastal, and traditional interiors alike.

Underneath the good looks is a serious build. A 3 mm layer of natural cork sits over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing underneath: 11 mm (7/16 in) of plank in total. A HotCoating wear layer and a high resistance Natural Shield water based polyurethane finish protect the surface, earning an AC5 abrasion rating and a Class 33 heavy commercial usage class.

Because cork is mostly air trapped in a natural cell structure, the floor stays warm underfoot year round and quiets the room around it, cutting impact sound by 18 dB. It stays permanently elastic, so it feels softer to walk on than hardwood or laminate without ever looking soft.

The planks are manufactured in Switzerland with a precision engineered Uniclic click lock profile, so they float over the subfloor and lock together without glue. Above grade, on grade, or below grade in a finished basement, Stratum installs where many hard floors cannot.

• Uniclic click lock joints with HDF locking strength above 500 kg per linear metre (ISO 24334): planks float, no glue or nails.
