Warranty Declaration Forna Real Leather Floating Flooring extends this warranty in addition to your statutory rights under specific conditions:
Forna commits to the structural soundness of its flooring products under normal residential and commercial use. This encompasses adhesion and the integrity of the surface finish. Exclusions from this warranty include damages due to improper use, undue stress, wear and tear, mechanical impact (like dents and scratches), or changes in appearance such as gaps or color shifts, and material inconsistencies between flooring planks.
Further, damages from inadequate maintenance, cleaning methods, chemical interactions, or moisture exposure are also not covered. This warranty is applicable exclusively to first-quality products installed in indoor settings that are used as intended, following Forna’s standard sales and business terms.
Warranty Duration The warranty duration for Forna Real Leather Floating Flooring is structured as follows:
- Residential Use (Class 23): 15 years from the purchase date.
- Commercial Use (Class 32): 5 years from the purchase date.
Depreciation Policy For any warranty claim, depreciation is calculated from the original purchase price as follows:
- Residential Use: 8% per annum
- Commercial Use: 20% per annum
Warranty Terms For warranty eligibility, adhere to these stipulations:
- Installation must conform to Forna’s instructions, including subfloor moisture evaluations and guidelines for installations over heated floors.
- Floor planks must be inspected for any defects or damages in daylight before installation.
- Follow the maintenance and cleaning guidelines provided with the product.
- The surface coating, designed to protect the decorative layer, is meant to withstand normal usage wear, which is not covered under this warranty. Professional refinishing should be done as necessary by qualified personnel.
- Damages from incorrect installation, maintenance, or refinishing are not covered under this warranty.
Claim Procedure Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to Forna along with the original purchase receipt from the dealer or distributor, which acts as the warranty document. Claims lacking the original receipt will be deemed invalid.
Upon a claim submission, Forna will decide within four weeks if the claim is warranted. During this period, Forna or its designated agents may inspect the installation site and conduct necessary tests to ascertain the claim’s validity. The claimant is obliged to provide all requested documents and samples within two weeks of Forna’s request. Non-compliance may lead to the dismissal of the claim.
Warranty Coverage If a claim is validated, Forna reserves the right to either repair the defective boards or replace them with similar products from the current range, depending on availability. Replacements will be issued without charge at the original point of purchase.
This warranty does not cover the costs for removal, disposal, reinstallation, or any consequential damages. Moreover, the warranty period will not be extended even if a claim is acknowledged.
Warranty claims must be lodged within six months from the date the written claim is received by Forna, and no later than the expiration of the warranty period.
