American Red Oak Cork Flooring

The warm, familiar grain of American red oak, printed on a Swiss-made cork plank that stays quiet, warm, and comfortable underfoot. American Red Oak pairs a classic North American hardwood look with everything cork does better than wood. Each 1235 mm x 200 mm (48 5/8 in x 7 7/8 in) plank is built in Switzerland: a 3 mm cork top layer under a durable HotCoating wear surface, a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, and a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing that acts as a built-in underlay. That cork structure, roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimetre, is what you feel every day. The floor holds an even, comfortable temperature all year, so walking barefoot in winter no longer means cold feet. It is permanently elastic too: the natural give is pleasant to walk on and gentle on your ankles, while the honeycomb cell structure cuts impact sound by 18 dB. Durability is not the trade-off it once was. The HotCoating protection earns this floor a class 33 commercial rating and class 23 domestic rating, so it is at home in busy family rooms, kitchens, and commercial spaces alike. The square-edge planks click together with the patented Uniclic system, whose watertight joints exceed European standards: no glue, no open seams, just a floating floor you can install over above, on, or below grade subfloors.
