Pinewood Cork Flooring

A Swiss-made floating cork plank in a natural pinewood look: warm underfoot, 18 dB quieter, and rated for commercial traffic.

Pinewood pairs the light, familiar grain of pine with the comfort only cork delivers. Each 1235 mm x 200 mm (48 5/8" x 7 7/8") plank carries a wood-embossed, semi-matte surface in a natural colour, so the floor reads as timber at a glance but feels softer, warmer, and quieter the moment you step on it.

Under the surface sits a serious 11 mm (7/16") build: a 3 mm cork top layer over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF core, finished with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing that acts as a built-in underlay. The HotCoating wear layer with its high-resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane finish is what pushes this floor to commercial class 33 while keeping the natural texture visible.

Cork's cell structure (roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimetre) is doing quiet work all day: it insulates against cold subfloors, absorbs impact sound, and stays permanently elastic, which is easier on ankles and knees than hard flooring. Even in winter, walking barefoot no longer means cold feet.

Because it floats on a patented Uniclic click-lock system with watertight joints, Pinewood installs without glue or nails and is approved on, above, and below grade. That makes it a realistic choice for basements, main floors, bedrooms, and light commercial spaces alike.

Why this floor
