Recommended Procedure for Cork Floors

General Guidelines

  • Apply finish only after adhesive has fully cured
    (Follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions)

  • Apply a maximum of two coats per day

Untreated / Natural Cork Flooring or Cork Tiles

  1. Apply three total coats of LOBA 2K Supra AT

First coat

  • Roll evenly

  • Allow to dry 2–4 hours

Second coat

  • Apply evenly

  • Allow to dry overnight
(This helps reduce the risk of cork granule swelling)

Intermediate sanding

  • Lightly sand using a 180–220 grit perforated pad to remove grain raise

  • Vacuum thoroughly

  • Tack the surface with a clean microfiber mop pad, lightly dampened with water

Final coat

  • Apply evenly and allow to cure

Prefinished Cork Flooring or Tiles

  • Follow the cork manufacturer’s recommendations

  • If recoating is permitted:

    • Lightly sand the surface

    • Apply one to two coats of LOBA 2K Supra AT

  • Always test for adhesion before full application

Best Practices for Optimal Results

  • Maintain consistent temperature and airflow

  • Work methodically to keep a wet edge

  • Avoid over-rolling the finish

  • Clean tools immediately after use

  • Protect the surface from moisture during the curing period

Final Notes

LOBA 2K Supra AT delivers a durable, professional-grade finish that preserves cork’s natural warmth, resilience, and appearance. Because cork is more porous and reactive than traditional hardwood, careful preparation, accurate mixing, and controlled application conditions are essential for long-term performance.
