Bleached Birch Cork Flooring
A soft off-white cork floating floor with grey undertones: the washed-out look of painted floor boards, with 12 mm (1/2 in) of quiet, warm cork underfoot. Bleached Birch is a soft off-white that leans grey rather than yellow, with light tinges of baby blue and creamy beige keeping it neutral and flexible. The milky finish recreates the feel of painted floor boards or old washed-out barnwood, which is why it has become a go-to for cottage and beach-cottage interiors. It sits comfortably between strong whites and flat greys, and it has proven to be one of the most popular "whites" in the range. Each 900 mm x 300 mm (35 7/16 in x 11 13/16 in) plank is built as a 12 mm (1/2 in) sandwich: a 3 mm stained cork wear surface over a 6 mm E1 class high-density fibreboard core, with a 3 mm cork underlay already attached underneath. The surface is sealed with a high resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane, so the floor arrives finished, stain resistant, and ready to walk on. Planks click together with the Uniclic profile and float over the subfloor, so there is no glue and no nailing, and the floor is approved above, on, or below grade. That double layer of cork does real work day to day: it cuts impact noise by 19 dB, insulates against thermal swings to keep rooms warmer in winter and cooler in summer, and gives you a resilient, low-slip surface that is easy on knees, hips, and joints. It is a natural fit for bedrooms, living rooms, and basements, and it pairs happily with hydronic in-floor heating. Why this floor
- Impact noise reduction of 19 dB (ISO 140-8) and an Impact Insulation Class of IIC 55 on 140 mm (5.5 in) concrete without a suspended ceiling: noise stays out of the rooms below.

- Uniclic click-lock profile: a floating, glue-free installation approved above, on, and below grade, including basements.
- True 12 mm (1/2 in) build with cork on both faces: 3 mm cork top layer plus a 3 mm attached cork underlay for insulation against acoustic vibration and thermal fluctuation, which helps trim heating and cooling bills.
- Compatible with hydronic and underfloor radiant heating systems.
- Greenguard Gold certified and made with formaldehyde-free adhesives, backed by published VOC and formaldehyde test reports.
- Naturally resistant to insects, mould, and mildew thanks to cork's anti-microbial properties; hypo-allergenic and easy to clean, a practical alternative to carpet.

My wife and I were looking to replace the upstairs carpet with something like hardwood. We decided on cork because it’s soft and much quieter.
This product is quite soft. REALLY COMFOTABLE.
