Bris Stone Cork Flooring

The clean, modern look of natural limestone with the quiet warmth only cork can deliver. Bris Stone pairs the elegant look of natural limestone with the comfort of cork. Its light grey-beige tones read calm and contemporary, a natural fit for kitchens, living areas, and even nurseries where you want a floor that feels as good as it looks. Each 620mm x 450mm (24-23/32" x 17-46/64") plank is built in three layers: a 3mm cork top layer sealed under a HotCoating wear surface, a 6.8mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, and a 1.2mm agglomerated cork backing that acts as a built-in underlay. Made in Switzerland, the floor clicks together with the patented Uniclic system to form a watertight joint, so planks lock tight with no open seams. Underfoot, cork's honeycomb cell structure (roughly 40 million cells per cubic centimetre) makes the surface permanently elastic and thermally insulating. It stays comfortable in bare feet year round, cushions your ankles as you walk, and knocks impact sound down by 18 dB. Because cork is peeled from the bark of the cork oak without felling the tree, it is also a genuinely sustainable choice. With a class 33 commercial rating, an AC5 abrasion result, and compatibility with electric, hydronic, and underfloor radiant heat, Bris Stone is a floor you can put almost anywhere in the house, including the basement.

Can I install this over in-floor heating?
Yes. Bris Stone is compatible with electric, hydronic, and underfloor radiant heating systems, and its 0.108 m² K/W thermal resistance lets warmth come through while keeping the surface comfortable.
Is it suitable for a basement?
Yes. The floor is approved for on, above, and below grade installation. The moisture resistant HDF core and watertight Uniclic joints (24-hour swelling under 8% per EN 317) make it a solid below-grade choice.
How does it hold up to pets, kids, and heavy traffic?
Very well. It carries a class 33 commercial rating, an AC5 abrasion resistance result, and is suitable for type W castor chairs, with residual indentation limited to 0.15 mm. The HotCoating wear surface keeps its looks for years, backed by a 15-year residential warranty.
How is it installed?
It is a floating floor with the patented Uniclic click-lock profile: planks lock together over the subfloor without glue or nails. Use a taping block for precise installation, and order about 10% extra for cuts and waste. The 1.2mm cork backing is already attached, so no separate underlay is needed.
