Como Oak White Cork Flooring
The pale, airy look of white oak, built on a quiet, warm cork plank that clicks together with a watertight joint. Como Oak White pairs a light, whitewashed oak visual with everything cork does best. Each 1235 mm x 200 mm (48 5/8 in x 7 7/8 in) plank is 11 mm (7/16 in) thick: a 3 mm cork top layer over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, finished underneath with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing that acts as a built-in underlay. Underfoot, this is where cork earns its keep. Roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimetre give the floor natural thermal insulation, so it stays comfortable in bare feet even in winter. The same honeycomb cell structure absorbs impact sound (18 dB reduction) and keeps the floor permanently elastic, which is noticeably gentle on ankles and joints. The surface is protected by a HotCoating wear layer with a high resistance Natural Shield water based polyurethane finish. That protection is rated to commercial class 33 and domestic class 23, so the floor is at home in busy households and commercial spaces alike. Swiss made, and rated for above grade, on grade, and below grade installation. Installation is a floating click-lock job with the patented Uniclic profile. The joints lock watertight and the click system exceeds European standards for stability, so seams stay tight with no open joints. Use a tapping block during installation for a precise, damage-free fit.Why this floor
- Watertight patented Uniclic click joints: locking strength tested to ISO 24334 at over 500 kg per linear metre, with no open joints.
- Rated commercial class 33 and domestic class 23 (EN 16511) with AC5 abrasion resistance: heavy commercial durability in a natural floor.
- 18 dB impact sound reduction (EN ISO 717-2) from the honeycomb cork cell structure plus the 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing.
- Warm underfoot: thermal resistance of 0.108 m² K/W and roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cm³ insulate against cold subfloors.
- Moisture-conscious build: E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core with a 24 hour swelling value under 8% (EN 317), approved for below grade rooms.
