More about Engineered Hardwood

Engineered Hardwood

Engineered wood floors are constructed from layers of hardwood and plywood, whereas solid hardwood is manufactured from a single piece of wood. Hardwood flooring gives a traditional touch to every room. Engineered hardwood is durable and long-lasting, built from multiple layers of wood, each angled differently. In moist environments, this structure prevents engineered hardwood from warping and bending. In contrast to solid hardwood, it can be installed on various levels of the home, even below ground with a protective moisture barrier. A hardwood veneer gives an engineered floor the same true wood beauty as a real hardwood floor. Engineered hardwood also requires less upkeep.
