Warm Stone Cork Flooring

A Swiss-made design cork floor that stays warm underfoot, hushes footsteps by 18 dB, and locks together with a watertight Uniclic joint.

Warm Stone is an 11 mm (7/16") design cork floating plank in a natural colourway, finished with a wood-embossed, semi-matte surface. Each 620 mm x 450 mm (24-23/32" x 17-46/64") plank is built in Switzerland as a true sandwich: a 3 mm cork wear layer on top, a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core in the middle, and a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing already attached underneath, so there is no separate underlay to buy.

Cork is why this floor feels different the moment you step on it. Roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimetre give it natural thermal insulation, so walking barefoot in winter no longer means cold feet. The same honeycomb structure keeps the floor permanently elastic: it flexes gently with each step and is easy on ankles and joints.

It is also built for real use, not just comfort. The HotCoating wear protection with a high resistance Natural Shield water base polyurethane finish earns this floor a Class 33 commercial and Class 23 domestic rating, and the patented Uniclic click profile forms a watertight joint that exceeds European standards for locking stability. The raw material is simply bark: cork oaks are peeled, never felled, and a single tree can be harvested up to 20 times over a 200 year life.

Why this floor

• 18 dB impact sound reduction (EN ISO 717-2), thanks to cork's honeycomb cell structure with about 40 million cells per cm³.
• Rated Class 33 commercial and Class 23 domestic (EN 16511) with AC5 abrasion resistance: durability specified for busy commercial spaces, working overtime in a home.
• Watertight patented Uniclic click joint that surpasses European locking standards, with HDF locking strength above 500 kg per linear metre (ISO 24334) and no open joints.
• Three-layer Swiss construction: 3 mm cork top layer over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing built in.
• Naturally insulating: thermal resistance of 0.108 m² K/W keeps the surface comfortable year round, and the floor stays permanently elastic underfoot.
