You will love this floor, trust me! I debated on laminate floor and the cork floating floor, and everybody has laminate, but I went with the cork which I loved the pattern and I wanted to go green with cork. A perfect floor for kitchen. I installed this cork floor about 6 months ago by myself. I made two unsightly marks on the cork floor when I pull my refrigerator to clean. The marks disappeared after a apply two coats of polyurethane. One of the best things to protect cork when you need to move heavy things is Appliance rails. You can buy them at Home Depot.
