Silver Birch Cork Flooring
The classic ribbon pattern in a luxury 12 mm (1/2 in) floating plank, with a 3 mm cork underlay already built in. Silver Birch carries one of the most recognizable patterns in cork: a narrow ribbon stripe threaded with natural cork golds. It reads like the narrow strip oak, maple, or cherry floors of a 1920s home, the kind many of us grew up on, but with the warmth and quiet that only cork delivers. At 12 mm (1/2 in) thick, this is the heavyweight of the line. The plank stacks a 3 mm natural cork top layer over a 6 mm E1 class high density fibreboard core, with a 3 mm cork underlay permanently attached underneath. That built-in bottom layer means most homes need no additional insulation or underlay before installation. Planks click together with the Uniclic profile, so the floor floats over your subfloor without glue or nails. It can go above grade, on grade, or below grade, which makes it a genuine option for basements as well as main living areas. Underfoot it is warm, resilient, and low slip: a comfortable surface for seniors, children, and anyone with arthritis or joint pain. The surface is sealed with a high resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane wear layer, backed by a 10-year residential wear warranty, a joint integrity warranty, and a lifetime structural warranty.Why this floor

A perfect floor for kitchen. I installed this cork floor about 6 months ago by myself. I made two unsightly marks on the cork floor when I pull my refrigerator to clean. The marks disappeared after a apply two coats of polyurethane. One of the best things to protect cork when you need to move heavy things is Appliance rails. You can buy them at Home Depot.
