Umber Cork Flooring
Warm browns and soft beige in a Swiss-built 11 mm plank rated for heavy commercial traffic, yet quiet and warm enough for a bedroom.
Umber blends warm brown and soft beige tones in an organic pattern that reads somewhere between natural wood and stone. The subtle variation from plank to plank gives the floor a rustic, timeless character that suits everything from a cozy living room to a modern kitchen or office.
Under the surface, this is a precision-engineered floating floor made in Switzerland. A 3 mm genuine cork veneer sits over a 6.8 mm E1-grade moisture-resistant HDF core, with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork underlayer bonded beneath: 11 mm in total, so no separate underlay is needed. The wear surface is sealed with a high-resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane HotCoating rated AC5 for abrasion.
Cork's air-filled cell structure does the everyday work: it cushions each step, reduces foot fatigue, absorbs impact noise, and holds a comfortable temperature year-round. With an R-value of 1.125, the floor stays warm underfoot in winter and cool in summer, and it never gives you cold feet walking barefoot. Cork also contains suberin, a natural wax that resists mould, mildew and pests.
Planks click together with the Uniclic system into a tight, watertight joint, and the floor can run up to 15.2 m x 9.1 m (50 ft x 30 ft) without transition strips. It installs above, on or below grade, so basements and open-concept main floors are both fair game.
