Walnut Burlwood Cork Glue-Down Flooring

A dark floor that refuses to feel heavy: black walnut browns and cool greys, lifted by subtle amber highlights.

Walnut Burlwood is the exception to the light-flooring craze, and one of the most popular floors in the collection. The pattern is built on deep black walnut browns and cool grey tones, but it has a warm side: hints of amber shine through and lighten the surface. In direct sunlight the floor shifts from dark to medium brown in a twinkling.

That balance is what makes it rare. Dark floors seldom read as neutral, yet Walnut Burlwood performs as a cool or warm toned floor depending on the light and the room around it. It is dramatic without locking you into one palette.

The tile itself is cork through and through: an 8 mm (5/16 in) glue-down construction with a natural cork top layer over a cork core and cork backing, sealed with a high resistance super-matte wax finish. Glued direct to the subfloor, it gives you the low-profile, permanent feel of a traditional tile installation with cork's warmth, quiet, and cushion underfoot.

Rated commercial class 32 and domestic class 23, it is built for busy homes and light commercial spaces alike, and it can go on floors, walls, or ceilings, above grade or on grade.

Important product note

Walnut Burlwood proved so popular that it is produced in two constructions: this 8 mm (5/16 in) glue-down tile and a 12 mm floating floor. Choose the glue-down tile for a low-profile, permanently bonded installation; choose the floating version if you prefer a click-together floor.
