Tasmanian Burl Cork Flooring
Gold and amber cork with black tiger striping: the mid-tone floor that makes every other wood in your home work together. Tasmanian Burl is the successor to one of the most loved cork patterns ever offered here: Rocky Bush. Customers prized the interplay between the strong gold and amber tones of natural cork and the dramatic black tiger striping, so this pattern was developed to reproduce the most successful aspects of that look. The name is an homage to the strong amber colour of the Tasmanian Oak found in Australia and the Island of Tasmania. The gold highlights make this a light mid-tone. Because the pattern carries such a wide range of colours, Tasmanian Burl can sit beside dozens of different wood species without clashing. Instead of adding another wood colour to the room, it brings harmony to the ones already there, which is exactly what you need in a partial renovation where existing trim, cabinets, and furniture are staying put. Underneath the pattern is a substantial 12mm (1/2") floating plank: a 3mm natural cork top layer over a 6mm E1 class high density fiberboard core, with a 3mm cork underlay already attached. Planks click together with the Uniclic profile and float over the subfloor, above grade, on grade, or below grade, and the surface is sealed with a high resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane wear layer. The result is a floor that is warm and comfortable underfoot, quiet, resilient, and low slip: an excellent surface for seniors, children, or anyone with arthritis or joint pain, and a hypo-allergenic alternative to carpet that repels dust, hair, and other small particles.Why this floor

We installed this floor in our kitchen and we love it, but we have only been using the kitchen for three months. We just love the floor and it’s one of the most beautiful things about in our kitchen. We would absolutely recommend using this product. We did have professional installation through our contractor, and they said it was pretty easy to install this cork floor.
