Walnut Burlwood Cork Flooring
A dark floor with two personalities: moody in low light, dazzling with warm brown highlights when the light comes up. Walnut Burlwood is the strong silent type. It reads as a dark cork floor, yet it carries so many warm brown highlights that it can stand in for a mid-tone. In full lighting the pattern comes alive, and the depth of the colour shifts with the room around it. That mix of warm browns and cool undertones makes this floor an easy match for competing themes. Renovations are often a compromise between old and new, and when several wood tones have to live together, Walnut Burlwood offers a simple way to tie them in. Each 900 mm x 300 mm (35 7/16 in x 11 13/16 in) plank is a full 12 mm (1/2 in) thick: a 3 mm natural cork top layer over a 6 mm E1 class high density fiberboard core, with a 3 mm cork underlay already attached. The planks click together with the Uniclic profile and float over the subfloor, above, on, or below grade. Underfoot, the cork does what carpet and hardwood cannot do at once. It is warm, resilient and low-slip, which makes it a comfortable surface for seniors, children, and anyone dealing with arthritis or joint pain, and it quietly insulates the room against both noise and temperature swings. Why this floor
- Industry-leading Uniclic click-lock profile: the planks float with no glue and no nails.
- Impact noise reduction of 19 dB (ISO 140-8) and Impact Insulation Class IIC 55, tested on 140 mm (5.5 in) concrete without a suspended ceiling.
- Full 12 mm (1/2 in) build with a 3 mm cork underlay attached, so no separate underlayment purchase.
- Rated Domestic class 23 and Light Commercial class 50, backed by a 10-year residential wear warranty, a joint integrity warranty, and a lifetime structural warranty.
- Thermal insulator both ways: keeps unwanted heat out in summer and holds warmth in the room in winter, which helps trim heating and cooling bills.
- Healthy-home credentials: Greenguard Gold certified, made with formaldehyde-free adhesives, hypo-allergenic, and naturally resistant to insects, mould and mildew thanks to cork's anti-microbial properties.
- Finished with a high-resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane wear layer: stain resistant, impact resistant, and easy to clean.

We are living in a desert area and tored out the carpet in our bedrooms and installed this cork flooring. It is absolutely beautiful and was easy to install once we got the hang of it. BE CAREFUL With tapping block, do not damaged the edge of cork planks. if the tapping block damaged the groove it will be no problem. We’ve had it down for 5 days, and surprisingly, our two German Shepherds haven’t even scratched the finish. We were worried about that. Dust shows a lot on the dark color, but that’s a daily battle for us anyway. We have added three coats of poly because we are living in an area with low humidity. The cork floor holds up very well. LOVE this cork!!
