Gray Bamboo Cork Glue-Down Flooring

The gray barnwood look, reimagined in solid cork: one floor for every room on the main level, bathrooms and kitchen included.

Gray Bamboo is a cool gray taupe with hints of lilac and blue, laid out in the traditional cork ribbon pattern. The effect mimics a century-old narrow strip hardwood that has been washed in gray: on trend, but clearly not the same vinyl plank everyone else has.

Each tile is solid cork through its full 6 mm (1/4 in) thickness: a 6 mm stained cork wear surface over a cork core and cork backing, sealed with a high resistance super-matte wax finish. Made in Portugal, the tiles come square edged with no bevel for a clean, continuous surface.

Because it is glued down and then site-finished with two coats of polyurethane, the floor becomes a fully sealed surface that shrugs off large amounts of surface water. Muddy boots in the entranceway or splashy bath time upstairs mean nothing to it, which is why you can run this one floor through kitchens, bathrooms, main level laundry and hallways without a single transition strip.

Underfoot, it does what cork does best: warm, resilient and quiet. The low-slip, cushioned surface is kind to seniors, children and anyone with arthritis or joint pain, and the thermal buffer helps keep heat in the room in winter and out in summer.
