Floating cork floors (click together floors) are different from many of the cheap laminate floors most people are used to. These planked floors offer tremendous amounts of benefits for the same price as a high-end laminate or middle of the road vinyl. The 12mm thick planks imported straight from Portugal are luxury floors at their best. A 3mm top wear layer, with 6mm E1 European Moisture Resistant High-Density Fibreboard center with 3mm cork underlay attached. That’s a total of 6mm of total cork. Even our highest priced competitors do not offer this amount of cork on their planks.

The amount of cork is vital to the level of comfort offered by the floor. For that reason we decided to distance ourselves from the bottom feeders and go after the top brand names in cork. We think we’ve succeeded with the 12mm cork planks. The manufacturer assures us that only one other client has ordered this configuration – a German flooring supply company servicing the top clients in Europe.

These planks offer a solid feel underfoot. Soft, warm and comfortable. Most of our clients cannot tell that they are “click together”. Most assume these floors are solid “glue down” floors.
