Custom T-Molding – Special Order Item

Please note that this is a special order item and requires approximately 2 weeks for production. It will be shipped along with your complete order. Due to its custom nature, we regret to inform you that returns or exchanges for this item cannot be accepted.

Product Specifications:

• Thickness: The T-molding is crafted to match the thickness of your flooring planks, ensuring a seamless transition.
• Length: It shares the same length as the flooring planks in matching color.
• Width: 6 inches
• Coating: Please note that a separate application of coating is required, both on the floor and the T-molding.
• Usage: T-Molding is designed exclusively for use between rooms with the same elevated flooring. It should not be used as a transition between carpet and cork flooring.
• Adhesive Thickness: When applying adhesive, maintain a thickness of 4mm. Avoid excess adhesive application to prevent obstructing floor expansion and contraction.

Installation Instructions: To properly install the T-Molding, you will need the following tools: measuring tape, miter saw or power saw, construction adhesive, caulk gun, and a damp cleaning cloth.

Step 1: Begin by measuring the width of the doorway between the two floors. Utilize a miter saw or power saw for precise cuts.

Step 2: Apply construction adhesive along the bottom of the gap between the two floors.

Step 3: Gently press the T-molding into the gap, ensuring that the top of the molding aligns seamlessly with each floor, leaving no gaps. It’s essential not to glue the lips of the molding to the floor.

Step 4: Any excess glue should be promptly wiped away with a damp cloth.

Step 5: For stability, weigh down the molding using heavy objects overnight. Ensure that these objects do not create tripping hazards.

Step 6: Finish the installation by applying Loba AT for a polished look.
